Editing a product.
- Click “catalog” and categories until you get to a list of products.
- Click on the product you want to edit.
- Click “edit”
- Change what you want.
- Click “preview”
- Click “insert”
The above will allow you to change all content and the image in the product description. It does not let you change options.
Editing Options for a specific product.
- Click on “product attributes”
- You’ll see three tables. Product Options, Option Values and Product Attributes. You’ll be working in the Product Attributes Table.
- It’s usually a huge list because there is a line for every option for every product. If a shoe has 4 colors, there are four lines for that. If it has 28 sizes (14 sizes in 2 widths) there are that many lines for that shoe. They don’t seem to have a search so you get to wander around until you find the one line you want to change.
- If you just want to add an option, you’re lucky. Just use the Insert function at the bottom. Pick the product name, the option and the value and click “insert”.
- If you want to edit an existing line, find it and click “edit”, make the change and click “update”. Remember you’re only changing that product.
