Is it possible to have a simple inexpensive e-commerce site?
iMakeSense - E-commerce

By howard hayakawa, web developer

Occasionally you want to sell a few items on-line and don't need all the bells and whistles that come with a full E-commerce storefront.  You also don't want the complexity.

If that describes you, read on.  Our standard catalog function might be enough.

Requirements:
  1. Products with no options or simple options.
    1. The standard catalog doesn't have a way to have price variations with option.
    2. If there are very many options, the order process could be confusing to the customer.
    3. Options are really presented as unique products so creation and maintenance of these kinds of products will drive you crazy.
  2. Not too many products.
    1. There isn't a hard limit here.  David regularly uses the number 100.
    2. It's all about ease of use for the visitor and ease of maintenance for you.
    3. Categories are supported to help organize.

You create one of these from the Small Biz Pro Design Package.   The catalog is a standard feature so that doesn't cost anything.  All you do is pay for the integration of the secure shopping cart and the PayPal mechant gateway.  Ask for a quote.  You'll be surprised at low it is.
