Map Links, Yahoo MapBy Howard Hayakawa of iMakeSense.com This is how to add a map link to a webpage. These instructions are for Yahoo Maps.
- Go to yahoo maps and bring up the desired location.
- Make certain the map is correct. Ocassionally the map is wrong.
- You can either try Mapquest or Google
- You can write a correction above the link.
- Now things get tricky
- In the upper right corner of the map you'll see the words "link to this map" Click on the words.
- Select all the code in the box labeled "Map". It's not all visible so you need to make sure you get it all.
- Copy the code.
- Login to your website.
- Go to the page you want to edit.
- Click the pencil.
- Now you get to be technical.
- At the bottom of the edit section, you'll see a tab for "html
code". Click it and you'll see a bunch of scary looking code.
- Go to the bottom of all that code and paste in the code you copied from Yahoo map.
- Go back to the bottom again and click "design" and you should see the Yahoo map logo.
- If that doesn't work call email howard@imakesense.com
- The next issue is placement. Once you're in design mode and can see the logo, you can copy and paste it.
- Don't forget to submit.
