Map Links, Yahoo Map

By Howard Hayakawa of iMakeSense.com

This is how to add a map link to a webpage.  These instructions are for Yahoo Maps.

  1. Go to yahoo maps and bring up the desired location.
  2. Make certain the map is correct.  Ocassionally the map is wrong.
    1. You can either try Mapquest or Google
    2. You can write a correction above the link.
  3. Now things get tricky
  4. In the upper right corner of the map you'll see the words  "link to this map"  Click on the words.
  5. Select all the code in the box labeled "Map".  It's not all visible so you need to make sure you get it all.
  6. Copy the code.
  7. Login to your website.
  8. Go to the page you want to edit.
  9. Click the pencil.
  10. Now you get to be technical.
  11. At the bottom of the edit section, you'll see a tab for "html code".  Click it and you'll see a bunch of scary looking code.
  12. Go to the bottom of all that code and paste in the code you copied from Yahoo map.
  13. Go back to the bottom again and click "design" and you should see the Yahoo map logo.
  14. If that doesn't work call email howard@imakesense.com
  15. The next issue is placement.  Once you're in design mode and can see the logo, you can copy and paste it.
  16. Don't forget to submit.
