Setting up Your Email
For SBC clients

SBC Global / Yahoo DSL recently made it more difficult for their customers to use other mail servers, such as ours.

If you were trying to find SBC DSL Global's site, you have found the wrong site. Please follow the links below. If you are a Karcher Group client, having trouble with SBC Mail settings, scroll below these links to find the support information you are looking for.

If you're an SBC Global / Yahoo DSL customer, and your outgoing e-mail sent through iMakesense, LLC no longer works (but your incoming mail still works without problems), the problem is almost certainly due to the changes made SBC Global / Yahoo DSL. These changes block outgoing mail from your computer. They announced this change here:

To resolve the problem we recommend clients use SBC Global as their outgoing mail server. Below is a list of outgoing servers for different parts of SBC Global's network.

    SBC Global Ameritech:  smtp.ameritech.yahoo.com
    SBC Global Flash:  smtp.flash.yahoo.com
    SBC Global NVBell:  smtp.nvbell.yahoo.com
    SBC Global Pacbell:  smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com
    SBC Global Prodigy:  smtpauth.prodigy.net
    SBC Global SNet:  smtp.snet.yahoo.com
    SBC Global SWBell:  smtp.swbell.yahoo.com
    SBC Global Wans:  smtp.wans.yahoo.com
    SBC Global Yahoo!:  smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com

These servers also require authentication. To use authentication do the following:

1.) Click the "More Settings" button, the "Internet Email Settings" dialog box will open.

2.) Go to the “Outgoing Server” tab and check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and be sure the radio button says “Log on using”.

3.) Fill in your SBC Yahoo DSL! account information. This information was provided with your original installation instructions.
