It may be helpful while going through these instructions to have two browsers open. One for the instruction and the other for your work or practice. To open a second browser in Windows, click 'start' and click on Explorer. If your screen is large enough, you can have both visible at once. If not, flip between them using the task bar at the bottom of your screen. If you're set up without the task bar, you need to ask a technical friend how to change that. Buffalo wings or a sundae is usually enough bribe to get technical help.
Main Admin Panel is your control center for website maintenance. Everything is managed from this central control.
To get to 'main admin panel', login and click 'admin panel'.
Tour of Main Admin Panel
The Main Admin Panel is divided into sections to help you find your way. These are obvious to us but we may have accidently hidden something. If you had to dig to find a way to do something, please put a note in the forum so we can make life easier for the next visitor.
Top Bars
To the right of the iMakeSense logo is a control bar that is visible most of the time you're editing. This bar is visible most of the time you're editing and is useful to get to the website or main admin panel quickly. The second bar also has a quick way to edit a lot of the website. This is arranged in Task and Feature lists to help you get you working as easily as possible. We provide multiple ways to do things because each person thinks a little differently.
Web Pages: quick and easy
This section will take care of most webpage editing. The left option creates new pages at the root level. That's technical talk for a page that is visible to new visitors. The middle icon provides a way to select a page to edit. The right icon deletes pages permanently.
Manage, Create, Delete
This section provides special functions for managing things like catalogs and email. For example, if you want a catalog page, you can't create it using the 'create page' function in the first section. Manage navigation/treeview is a way to get to the treeview of the navigation section in order to change the relative position of the page names in navigation. A special note: you manage visitor comments here but you don't create the function here.

Currently hidden webpage links
This function allows you to publish most webpages with one click. An exception is for Articles.
Users
The very bottom section provides a view as to who might be logged in. You might be thinking 'who cares'. You should care because if two of you are trying to edit the same page, one of your edits may be lost. This feature gives you a chance to call and coordinate. This function is only approximate because there are some ways to trick the system.
